In a few short weeks, I will publish the first book in my Larkin Bay romance series.

Yes, Jaycee’s Bakery will be on sale soon.

March 15 th to be exact.

It’s actually up for pre-order now on most major bookseller sites if you’re interested.

So.

I’ve been writing this book for a very long time.

It was the book I started when I thought writing a book was going to be easy.

Which, just in case you were wondering, it’s not.

It’s also the book I wrote when I thought I wanted a traditional publishing contract.

Which it turns out I don’t.

I’ve learned a lot on this journey.

I learned a lot about writing and I learned a lot about editing.

I learned a lot about marketing books and a lot about self-publishing.

I learned how to gather reviews and how to create email campaigns.

I learned I still have a lot to learn about writing craft.

I learned about perseverance.

I learned other things too, but mainly I learned I can write a book and publish it.

This journey has been enlightening.

It’s also been frustrating and terrifying too.

But I did it.

And I hope you like Jaycee’s Bakery.

I think you might.

But, if you don’t, just don’t tell me, okay?

I never need to know.

Thanks.
