I have a thing for chocolate.

Not all chocolate, mind you, but most of it.

One of my favourite chocolate treats is a plain Hershey Kiss.

Yep, the plain one. I like the original. Honestly, I see all the fancy new ones they’ve come out with as just messing up a good thing.

Anyhow.

Did you know the little paper that comes out the top of the kiss is called a Niggly Wiggly? Yep, that’s a true fact. The wrapping machines for the kisses were developed back in 1921, before then the candies were all wrapped by hand.

The new machines are much more efficient and can wrap up to 1,300 Hershey’s Kisses per minute.

It’s amazing that they’ve been making these little chocolates for people like me to savour for almost a hundred years.

Which leads me to believe I share good taste with a lot of people.

Because if they’ve lasted a hundred years I can’t be alone in my love of them, right?

Which is why I just decided that Amber, the protagonist of my third book in the Second Chance Zoo trilogy is going to have a thing for Hershey Kisses too.

I mean, why not? A protagonist has got to have good taste.

Just. Like. Me.

Right?

Absolutely.

And on that statment.

It’s time to just hush up, write and eat the chocolate.

Let me know when you’re coming around and I’ll save a few for you.

But if you really want one, you’d better come soon.

XOXO
