Yesterday my best friend and I did a day trip to Niagara Falls.
Yep, in January.
This is what it looked like:

Yes, it was -9 C (16 F), but that felt almost balmy compared to the -19 C (-3 F) it’s been here all week.
To say it was beautiful is an understatement. I couldn’t stay out long gazing at it because it was REALLY cold, but to see it and get this picture was worth being chilly for a few minutes.
And, you know what? You don’t really feel the cold that much when the freezing spray of this wonder is stunning both your heart and eyes.
You really don’t.
So, it’s the new year.
Happy New Year – again.
All my social media feeds are filled with the merit of taking a word and making it the word you live by for the year..
I did this last year.
My word was, grit.
I think I’m going to stick with my word again.
It seems to be working.
I’m still here anyway.
I need it too. Grit means I keep going when things get rough. And writing means rejection and rejection is rough.
Why change a good thing, right?
I can’t believe how fast last year went.
Time really does fly, doesn’t it?
My resolution for 2018 is to get some of my writing published.
Yeah, high goals.
Wish me luck!
and all the best for 2018!
