I have a word for 2017.

Yep, I’ve found a word that I’m going to use all year long  as my word to help me keep on track with my goals.

My word is – grit.

Grit is defined as a “tendency to sustain interest in and effort toward very long-term goals.”

It’s also defined in some places as bravery and mental strength.

I am working towards my publishing goals this year, and I must admit at times I get discouraged, but I’m determined to succeed.

I’m not going to quit. I’m ready to learn new techniques and perverse and get this writing published.

Because I got grit.

By its definition, grit might also have to be my word for 2018 too.

And I’m okay with that. Not only does it save me from having to come up with a word for next year but it’s also fitting.

I think I need a t-shirt with the word, Grit on it too. Wearing the word around might help me remember what I’m working towards.

Yep, just one t-shirt or um, maybe seven.

Because with all the rejections I’m probably going to get, it could be a long year..
